"Stoutly Spruce" was inspired the popular and trending manly soap concept. I wanted to make a strongly masculine soap with natural and minimal ingredients. When all the ingredients were added and the color turned into a dark brown like a Guiness Stout or dark porter. I thought "Perfect." Now it looks more like a guy's soap.
This batch, #005, contains the following ingredients: Lard (from our pastured pigs), Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye), Milk, Water, Spruce, Leaves (crushed), and Honey.
